Our Organization
IFA was launched on May 15, 2001. We are a public industrial and commercial organization that falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, and the Ministry for Regional Development. Our Chairman is the Special Ambassador for France for International Investment. We have 154 staff members, 72 of which are based in 21 overseas offices.
Our History
Invest in France Agency was established under the New Economic Measures Law of May 15, 2001. This reform was the result of a process which began in the 1970’s when France decided to adopt a positive approach toward inward international investment.
Status and financing
Invest in France Agency (IFA) was established under the New Economic Measures Law of 15 May 2001. IFA is a public industrial and commercial body (EPIC), placed under the responsibility of the Minister for Economy, Finance and Industry, and the Minister for Regional Development.

The Chairman of IFA is appointed Special Ambassador for International Investment by the French executive council (conseil des ministres). The current Chairman of IFA is Mr. Philippe Favre.
