The Invest in France Agency (IFA) will participate in the 39th World Economic Forum for the fifth year running.
Held in Davos (Switzerland) from January 28 to February 1, this year's forum has made "Shaping the Post-Crisis World" its key theme.
For its fifth participation in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, once again, the Invest in France Agency is displaying clearly the priority which France gives to business and the attractiveness of its territory. France is on the move. Never before have there been as many reforms to encourage the attractiveness and openness of France. Over the past two years, numerous and ongoing fundamental reforms are creating a more flexible business environment and a framework that ensures economic sustainable growth.
In 2009, the IFA will carry out its mission to promote France among decision makers from all over the world through one major event: a lunch on Friday 30 January in the presence of the French Minister of Economy, Christine Lagarde.
This lunch, organised jointly with Deloitte, will allow foreign business leaders to take advantage of a moment of constructive and privileged exchange with the Minister on the subject of France's economic policy and attractiveness.

Forbes CEO Europe Forum in Cannes
2008-06-09Cannes
Contact: Aurélia GUILLOU
The Invest in France Agency and its regional partners are hosting the Forbes CEO Europe Forum which will be held in Cannes on 9 & 10 June, 2008.
This forum will gather European and Americans CEOs around the theme "Reform, renewal or rupture?"
With the second half of 2008 being marked by the French presidency of the EU, what better place than Cannes to bring together world leaders, global heads of companies and Forbes editors to connect and collaborate on the issues that matter most.
From global trade to environmental protection, from illegal migration to international security—the theme of change, whether through reform that preserves the status quo, or rupture that creates radical change in our ways of life and business—will be discussed and debated at the Forbes CEO Europe Forum in 2008.
The Forbes CEO Europe Forum will explore how Europe is faring in the global battle for investment capital and gain insight into growth opportunities in Europe and its emerging markets. Is Europe up to the competitive challenges posed by the fast growth of BRIC countries such as Brazil, Russia, China and India?

6th Annual World Investment Conference (WIC)
2008-06-04La Baule
Contact: Aurélia GUILLOU
The Invest in France Agency (IFA) is, for the 6th consecutive year, the official partner of the upcoming 6th Annual World Investment Conference (WIC) to be held June 4, 5 and 6 in La Baule.
This year's theme will be "Brainpower in Europe — the driver for growth". The presentations and debates of the 6th World Investment Conference will revolve around the identification, analysis, and promotion of the innovative capabilities vested in Europe’s industrial and service sectors.
Some setbacks will also be examined to understand why the materialization of an idea, concept, or process into a high value-added product or service has not found a market through profitable and viable industrial application.
This analytical approach to the key factors of success and failure will allow for a better determination of the stakes on a global level, while putting in perspective the means for brainpower to boost growth.
The IFA will be represented by its president Philippe Favre and its managing director Serge Boscher. A member from each of our commercial and press teams will accompany them. The IFA team will be at your disposal to meet with you or answer questions about France's attractiveness and the IFA's activities.
Philippe Favre will address the opening session of the World Investment Conference.
You will also be able to meet with us at our booth inside the Congress Center or in the hotel Hermitage's lobby, where we will provide promotion material and transmit videos.
