ASTech-Paris Region

Located at the North of the country in the Paris (Ile-de-France) region, the national innovative cluster, “ASTech-Paris Région” concentrates research in the fields of Business Aviation, Aerospace Transport and Propulsion/equipment Systems.
3 primary objectives:
- To contribute future technological breakthroughs in partnership with small and medium enterprises (SME), research organizations and higher education institutions
- Provide further impetus to research based in the Ile de France region, and a support role for the Aerospace and Aviation industries
- Offer SMEs with new opportunities for innovation
Since its creation in 2007, the cluster has coordinated its activities with the other French innovative clusters in the aerospace sector, Aerospace Valley of the Midi-Pyrenees and PEGASE of Provence-Alps-Cote d’Azur, but also with complementary innovative clusters such as Mov'eo with which an agreement was signed last March.
Advantages
The Ile-de-France hosts in the heart of its region, the national capital Paris, a leading dynamic and prosperous area of Europe with an unparalleled and unique international appeal besides London.
The Ile-de-France is the European regional leader for industries dedicated to the Aerospace Transport, Businesses Aviation and Propulsion/Equipment sectors.
100,000 jobs in the Aerospace and aviation industry in the region, including:
• 24,300 integrators (motor mechanics, business plane manufacturers and space integrators)
• 21,000 assemblers (electronic and mechanical)
• 24,700 other industrial suppliers (mechanical, metallurgy, electrical equipment and electronics, chemistry )
• 30,000 service providers (studies, aeronautical maintenance, computing services )
