
Agrimip Innovation

Located in the southwest of France in the Midi-Pyrénées region, the national « Agrimip Innovation» cluster is specialized in the field of agriculture and the food and non-food processing industries.
The actors in the "Agrimip Innovation" cluster have jointly fixed the following four priorities for innovation:
- Analytical technologies : characterization, security and traceability
- New processes : mastering production and processing
- Markets and consumers : marketing, market economy, food sociology sciences
- Agro-chain engineering (from identification of clients and their requirements to production of identified products with secure opportunities)

Agriculture and the agro-industry is the leading employer with approximately 100,000 employees
- Leading region in France in terms of the number of agricultural businesses (approximately 54,000 producers)
- Leading region in France in terms of certified organic agricultural surface area with 8,833 hectares
- A UAA (Utilized Agricultural Area) of 80% of the regional territory with 2,345,000 hectares, which is 8.5% of total French national UAA
- A market made up of 20 million consumers, accessible within a radius of 300 km
- Partnerships that already exist with other clusters in the Midi-Pyrénées region and the 12 other agro-food clusters based in France
- with Aerospace Valley in the field of satellite imaging
- with the Cancer Biosanté cluster in the field of toxicology in the food chain
