Can you briefly describe the activities of PSR Group ?

PSR Group is a full service Contract Research Organization that is made up of PSR Clinical Research and PSR recruitment services. The Clinical Research Unit provides drug development services to pharmaceutical companies and assists them in all phases of their drug development process. The Recruitment unit provides assistance with staffing needs tailored specifically to the ever changing needs of pharmaceutical companies.

When did you choose to set up your business in France and why?

France is one the largest pharmaceutical markets in the world, and therefore is of high interest to biotech and pharmaceutical companies’ world wide. This translates into a high number of clinical research studies being run in the country. In order to fully establish itself as a pan European player in the contract research market, PSR Group felt it necessary to develop a presence in this country. This decision was made shortly after PSR Group was formed in mid 2007 from the merger of two smaller entities with a presence in the Netherlands, the UK, Poland and Serbia.

What advantages does France have to offer?

France has a fast growing but relatively young biotech sector. This provides an advantage to PSR Group over countries like Germany or the UK, where the sector is well establish. By entering the market while the sector is sill young, PSR Group can take the time to develop key relationships which will lead to loyal clients in the long run.

Can you tell us about PSR Group’s development plans for France?

PSR Group plans to grow the office in France by concentrating primarily in Business Development for the first two years in order to take the time to fully develop partnerships with young biotech’s that are still in very early stages of development.  These efforts will lead to profitable business in the form clinical trials 1 to 2 years down the line.
