International partnerships

Southeast Asia – South Korea
Located one hour from Seoul and considered the “Hawaii of Asia”, the island of Jeju is known for the beauty and quality of its environment. Rich in natural resources, this province of South Korea is concentrating on the development of its Bio-industry. In March 2008, the Cosmetic Valley cluster signed a collaborative agreement with the University of Jeju and its Jeju Seaweed Industry Development Agency. The program includes: scientific exchanges and the development of bipartite collaboration concerning cosmetics manufactured using plant and marine raw materials.

Middle East – Syria

The promotion of exchanges in the field of plants is also the backbone of the agreement signed last May with the Al Hawash University located in the Damascus area. Contacts with Syria were initiated by the IMT Group, which supports local professionals in the fields of cosmetic science training.
As a supplier of plants and products that may be of interest to the cosmetics industry, Syria aims to explore new applications in collaboration with experts from the Cosmetic Valley cluster.

Latin America - Colombia

The Colombian NATIVA cluster, with which an agreement was signed as early as 2006, brings together farmers specialized in aromatic plants from the Cordillère des Andes.

Other partnerships

- Strengthen links with the UBIFRANCE international network and the French economic trade offices abroad
- Partnership with the Japanese Hokuriku cluster
- Partnership with the University of  Lomé, Togo
