Located in the North of France in the greater Paris (Ile-de-France) region, the “Advancity, City and Sustainable Mobility” innovative cluster specializes in construction and sustainable urban renewal. Moreover, the cluster encourages activities linked with the building and housing industry, urban development and infrastructure, the mobility of goods and people, and transportation.

This dedicated cluster seeks answers to the following questions:

  • Functional issues: How can we ensure, within acceptable conditions, economic, social and environmental planning that responds to the legitimate and increasing demand for mobility, livable space, leisure spaces and other services for the benefit of individuals, families, and companies in the city?
  • Technological issues: How can we mobilize, develop, unite and gather the extremely diverse and necessary technologies to bring new functionalities, improve the durability of structures and projects, lower energy expenditures, control air quality and manage harmful noise pollution, manage water resources, recycle waste, and encourage the energy, social and environmental efficiencies of the city and its systems?
  • Reliability and safety issues: How can we ensure the reliability of increasingly sophisticated technical irrigation systems of the cities? How can we manage the increasing sensitivity to the population-dense and fragile city infrastructure in the face natural, industrial, terrorist risks and disasters?
