Situated in west France, covering the whole of Brittany and Pays-de-la-Loire, the ‘Images et Réseaux’ cluster specialises in three different areas: Telecommunications, Images and Networks.

The cluster is organised around 8 core elements:

Image chain services in order to take advantage of the improvement in images to help improve the production chain
Mobile imagery: conceiving and experimenting with new content and usage formats arising from the connection between TV broadcasts and mobile communication technology
Image networks: anticipating future networks and network technology
Electronic distribution of content: coming up with new ways of distributing contents, from creation to consumption
Security of networks, content and personal data
Acceptance, interoperability and convergence platforms
Augmented and virtual reality: Medical procedures, training, pre-industrial validation of a process by simulation...
Software: software techniques and tools, promoting projects in the field of software component engineering
