> Amazon Announces Opening of New Distribution Center in France
Amazon announced plans to open a 36,000 square-meter distribution center in the Rhone Alpes region of France. The company is currently recruiting the hundreds-strong staff that will run the new center.
The new location will be Amazon's second largest center in France, after its site in Orleans, and plans to begin operations in late August.
"At Amazon, we are delighted to know that Montélimar will be home to our latest distribution center in Europe," announced Alan Lyall, vice president of European operations at Amazon. "With its ideal geographical location and its strong pool of talent, Montélimar is an ideal setting for this site, enabling us to better serve our clients in the region."
