What attracted Siemens to set up business in this part of France?

Siemens realised that Grenoble and the Rhône‑Alpes region have a very impressive background in developing and engineering all sorts of technologies for electric energy and electronics, which is a perfect match with Siemens’ 160-year history of engineering and electronics.

One of the main advantages of Grenoble for Siemens is the local universities, which offer a large number of well‑trained graduates every year from which we can recruit our employees. We are adding these new employees to an already experienced staff working in project management, engineering and also in research and development. During the past two years, we have already recruited 100 new employees in Grenoble.

Now you're here, what are your future plans?

The Siemens strategy is to grow in Grenoble and in France, but also internationally. Based on the creative energy of our staff here in France, we will continue to provide high-quality tailor‑made solutions to all of our customers.
